Mihintale Alms Hall
Alms hall is the place where the daily alms were provided for the monks who resided in this monastery. On considering the primary traditional architecture, the other alms hall adjacent to the Anuradhapura Maha Vihara are mostly similar. A rice boat, porridge boat, kitchen and stores etc. have been identified on the eastern side of the building. A special feature is the granite cistern, which was used to get water to the kitchen area.
