Jethavanarama Preaching Hall
This was called "Dharma Shala" and was to preach the Dhamma and, to listen to it. There are entrances on all four sides and in the center on raised ground is a seat adorned with carving and mouldings. Legend has it that during the reign of King Silakala (522-535 AD), a sacred text book brought annually from Citadel to the Jethavanarama Monastery was placed in a similar hall and venerated.
